Jumped from a long distance to live together relationship. Not everything compatable so we both decided it didn't work at this point in our lives but we want to remain friends, give it time and see what may happen down the road. We are both financially strapped and commited to lease/mutual bills. Can we live together as "room mates" and friends? Any advice from experienced only please.

No you can't remain friends only. Make a clean break. And next time, really get to know someone face-to-face before you jump in the sack with them. And if you don't think you want to spend every hour of your waking life with them, don't be going to bed with them. There's always strings attached. And I know, easier said than done my friend. I do wish you the best.
