Why in the world would you want to? Better think twice!!!

You cannot disable the safety sensors. The opener is manufactured so that they must be wired in, and they must be able to see each other in order for the door to close. Unplugging the sensor wires and/or running a "jumper wire" between the two sensor terminals will just make the opener act as if there was an obstruction. Better to leave them connected. Now, I've heard that they don't have to be located on either side of the door way . . .hint, hint.

Sensors need to be hooked up or it won't work. I have mine located at the garage door unit facing each other. As long as they are facing each other you can install them anywhere.Good Luck!

These are safety features so someone will not have a door close on them. Leave them be. Why do you want to disable them anyway? Just curious.
