I'm a sophmore in an urban high school. The best things right now are Air Force 1's, Vans and Jordans. If you're trying to save money buy Vans. The Vans are about 30-40 dollars (depending on the style). Forces are 60-90 dollars. Tip if you get see-through forces always wear good socks. Jordans are also expensive but i've never had a pair. For basketball shoes i'd wear Jordans. But if you want to look stylish and play check out some more brands.

I love the classic white k-swiss. But if your looking for basketball shoes, definately go with Jordan's or Nike's.

Get either air Jordans or Nikes with shocks.
My basketball shoes are going to be Nikes with shocks seeing as it was either them or a cheap brand.
Get what feels most comftorable.

i really love my converse, i have 4 pairs. DC's and etnies are nice too. think about comfort AND style because you dont have to sacrifice either!

If you're willing to spend over $50, I'd actually go with K-Swiss. If you go to the website you can personalize them and pick the laces, tongue color, stripe color, etc. They're durable and really comfortable. Plus you can find them basically anywhere.
