uses the same traditional brainwashing techniques of Hitler's Nazi Party? CHECK OUT THESE TWO RECNT QUOTES I FOUND!!
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it,
people will become accustomed to believing it."
- Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels
"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things
over and over and over again for the truth to sink in,
to kind of catapult the propaganda."
- George W. Bush
Hmm...
I'm not stating my opinion, but just an honest question. Do all political parties in the democratic system use these same techniques?

You say I'am an idiot for comparing the two Richard, but they are practically saying the exact same thing except only one is admiting to a lie. If I saw these two quotes and didn't compare them and ponder them a bit, personally I think that would make me an idiot.

I am probably older than y'all - see, I remember my mom and dad having lived through WWII telling me as a kid that what Goebbels did for Hitler was TERRIBLE and only AWFUL DICTATORS do that and in America we are NOT that way; they also applied it to the Soviets, teaching me that the "godless commies" were lying to their people all the time but in America we get to hear the truth and decide from there.
It was real real hard for them when Dad said to me, the press are right, Bush is acting exactly like Hitler when he does this stuff, how could anyone not recognize that?
So the question is not if Bush is acting like Hitler, I think the entire advertising industry is based on a similar principle. The question is, should just swallow whatever our leaders tell us, knowing that they are going to feed us whatever information supports their causes? Should we accept as okay now what a lot of us were taught is the earmark of a totalitarian regime?
Please, this is not Bush bashing; my folks also recognized that our leaders lied to us over VietNam involvement and that was democrats. But this is supposed to be government of, by, and for the people.

Sounds pretty much like politics as ususal since the 1st Cro-Magnon alpha male smacked everybody around and set himself up as the dictator of the Oldevai Gorge.
Politics is about power. We are lied to on a more or less continual basis about any number of things.
It's a cheeky phrase, but "the truth will set you free" is powerful stuff. Unlocking the truth, when so many are playing shell games with it, is the hard part.
Then again...we sit in front of our selected media outlet and gleefully accept the tripe they feed us, because it re-inforces our own opinions.
In the end I think Nicholson has it right, "we can't handle the truth".

Yes, the Nazi's were brilliant when it came to propaganda. This is used by both parties in the USA. You say something enough, even if it is a lie, people will believe it.

You are exactly right!
President Bush is a despotic fraud who uses lies and deception to implement his political agenda. He has to deceive the American people because liberals would never allow him to do the things he does.
Conservatives, ironically, don't seem to mind the lies, torture, injustice and fraud- so I don't think the President really needed to mislead them. It's a wonder to me the President has lied so often about so much. With a simple conservative majority supporting him, he didn't really need to lie about everything unless he knew in his heart what he was doing was wrong- politically and morally.

It is telling, isn't it?
All gouvernments try it to a degree, but in most European Countries including Russia the majority of people look for other sources of information before they believe anything their gouvernments tell them.
I do wish the US Americans would grow up, too.

Propaganda techniques can be used for good or bad. Bush is repeating his statements to be heard over the leftist media. Goebels was the leftist media, pushing evil ideas for Hitler.

I think George is doing the best he can with what he has.
Also he needs a exit strategy to get us out of Iraq.
We are being duped into doing the nasty work.
We took on Vietnam when France bailed ,now it is time for France to get their asses in Iraq.
