Learn to dribble, learn to pass, learn to shoot, learn to defend, learn to rebound.
I would recommend running first to get in shape, then jump a lot. Then work on your shot, first aim at the backboard on your shot and work from there.
It requires a lot of practice and work, just like anything else, if you want to be good at it. There is no magical cheat code you can type to make yourself good. Good luck, basketball is a great game.

Practice, practice.
Watch games on television to see how people move out to pass the ball.
Borrow how-to videotapes/CDs from your library if you can't afford to buy them
Call your local sports departments to see if they're offering summer camps. If they aren't, then ask if you can get some one-on-one coaching. Lots of assistant coaches do this to get more money.
My local government offers drop in basketball at gyms for a nominal $25 per year. Do this and then get other players to show you how to do things that they do particularly well.
Very few people have gifted abilities in this area; most of it comes from practice.

just practice on dribbling... it will show people that you know how to handle the ball and try practicing to shoot from short and long distances. And try to be fast at it when dribbling. Go up and down the court from baseline to baseline when dribbling.
