No, he's not ruining them. He taking them and making them his own. If you were going to cover someone else's song and sang it exactly the way they do, what would be the point? Instead yoiu would sing it in your own style. I agree that I ususally like the originals better, but that doesn't mean that the song was ruined by someone else.

People who love his style will enjoy hearing him sing familiar songs. Clay may not be rock star material, but most people at least find him to be a pleasant person with a nice voice. A bit corny, yeah for sure, but that's okay. Nobody can 'ruin' a song. All they can do is have a turn singing it....what's wrong with that?

I like all the artists you mentioned but I would not consider their songs classics yet. I don`t have his latest album but I bet he does a great job on it.

YES!!!! He is ruining great classis songs, not saying he can't sing, i guess he can, its just him.... there is something about him the annoys the hell outta me, ughhhh God i dont know what it is, well i have a few suggestions as to what it could be!! but whatever....
