The pumpkins are cute. Toys R Us and Walmart have
tons of costumes for that age bracket. Have fun and don't forget
to take a picture and save a candy wrapper for his scrapbook.

You can make him a pumpkin outfit very easily! Buy a sleeper in a color that is as close to pumpkin as possible, then buy a yard or two of felt material. Cut out pieces and sew them together to make a big pumpkin belly, and then decorate it in whatever way you want to! You can even make it three D by stuffing portions of the front! (Don't stuff the back at all--he'll be uncomfortable.) Make sure to leave a little space in the beck for closure, and leave holes for little arms and legs.
Then take a little piece of felt and cut it into the shape for the pumpkin top! You can stuff that and use a smaller piece for the stem! Craft stores will have items you might even be able to use for the stem, to make it look viney. Then you make a little elastic headband or maybe a tie for the bottom of it, and he can wear it like a hat.
I did this, and my little guy looked adorable!

Best thing to do is go out and see what is available (you don't want to have your heart set on something and not be able to find it). Bring your baby with you, and put the head part on (usually a hoodie). One costume will probably stand out more then the rest. I don't know where you live, but if it's cold on halloween (and you're going out), you might want something made of flannel or fur.

Go out and buy the Parents magazine for October. I saw it in the doc's office the other day and it had several different cute costumes in it!

I found the cutest outfit for my son last year. It was a Tootsie Roll outfit. It was all one piece and I think I got it at Spencer's.
