I presume you are talking about the guests?
Well, isn't that to decide for the bride & bride, or groom & groom?
There is no such thing as 'normal'. It's their wedding, so everything they want should be fine.

assuming your talking about the guests, no it isn't wrong. However I personally think it is nice to have Gay friends, there are plenty of gay people out there, so therefore I am sure you would like at least one or two enough to be your friend, you will have that major part of your life in common with them then.
Of course if you have decided to keep the ceremony as family only then it would be perfectly acceptable

What do you mean?
1) The couple getting married mus be of the same sex- otherwise it cannot be considered a gay wedding?!
2) If you are refering to guests, then it is possible... I wouldn't call it wrong though.
The couple may only have straight friends...

No. Just invite who you are friends with. If you don't have any gay friends you want to have at your gay wedding, then that's fine.

At a gay wedding you are bringing together the union of two people who have this special bond, all friends and relatives express there joy at this union. Does not boil down to sexuality.

It would be impossible, the couple getting married would have to be gay or it wouldn't be a gay wedding.

Weddings or marriage is only possible where there is a man and a woman. Therefore, and please take note, in The United Kingdom at least THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GAY WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A couple of the same sex, whether they are gay, bi or straight can enter into a civil partnership in order to become, legally, next of kin.
Stop asking stupid questions in order to be provocative!

It's wrong to turn such a personally meaningful ceremony into a political judgment. Whoever the people getting married want to invite is who should be invited. End of story.
