I have this purple long-sleeved plaid shirt, and apparently I look like a farmer in it, and that's not exactly the look I'm going for. Any tips on what to wear maybe over it or something to un-farmer myself?

Any black concert T-shirt should do the trick. And ditch those UGLY Wrangler jeans!

You didnt say that you were a girl or a boy so im gonna do both...well if your a man pull the sleeves up to your elbow and wear like a jean with boots and spike up your hair. And if your a girl than, wear like a pretty bracelet and get like a hair bow and tie your shirt to the side it will look so cute cuz thats what i do. wear like a skirt and it you are not comfortable wearing a skirt than go for pants or capri. (Blue Jeans) wear like flip flops and since its purple go buy purple nail polish and look glamed up. well i hope i can help you. Also for the hair put it in piggy tails. You need to have a little farmer in you. Bye

Try leaving it untucked and unbuttoned with a white undershirt. Or, leave it untucked and put on a gray tweed jacket. What ever you do, go untucked. If you tuck in a purple plaid shirt you will always look like Farmer John no matter what.

Stay away from overalls and plaid shirts. Go with casual Khaki pants and polos. How about just regular jeans and tees.

Stay away from any loos fitting denim pants. Also go for lighter shades of denim. Never ware a denim jacket, rather go for swade or leather. This should solve Ur problem.

dont wear squared plaid shirts and jumpers . wear the new stuff in style like stripes or just one color plaid.

umm well one thing weare a cap and really dark jeans with it do and don't do the buttons all the way to the top just miss on one or two buttons
