i can get the wallpaper on my TV but there is no icon or mouse cursor how any ideas?

Only works if your graphics card supports output to TV, either composite, SVHS or RGB / Component.
Even if it does you'll need to fiddle with the settings for the graphics card to get it right.
Normal TV's are rubbish for PC use, they have a screen resolution of 576x432 or thereabouts for a 4:3 aspect ratio CRT ( tube ) set.
Plasma and LCD displays can be much better depending on make and model. Most of these have a VGA or DVI input on them.

a display device is just that - display. I dont see how it can display one thing but not the other.
I would also point out that TV's make rubbish PC displays.
A reasonable monitor is far superior to even the best TV

Sure ! if u hav a current Tv, kind of LCD tv, it has a out exit that is called Super Video and u can put in your pc. It has too a special board , called PC-TV, and you can do the same thing I said!

shrink the resolution of your desktop. max t.v rez is 1024 x 768

hello:if your using the tv with the monitor on the pc then right click the desktop click on properties /settings . move the number 2 box over to the number 1 box click ok then click on apply & ok then reset the pc

did you use dim leads in audio and video ..it works with laptops because there designed to do that not sure about pc
