I like to scope things out before posting new Qs, just to see how the temperament of the masses is. If it seems hostile or really silly, I usually avoid joining the fray regardless of the time of day.

I've noticed humorless people on at all hours; I haven't really been able to detect a time pattern. As an alternative, try the Jokes and Riddles category.

Keep in mind that people all around the world are on Yahoo and there are different time zones. For example, Friday 10 pm in New York is Saturday 11 am in Australia. So it's hard to answer your question in regards to YOUR time.

Between 3 and 5 in the morning most people seem to be in bed so P&S tends to be boring.

hhhmmmm...early afternoon during after school hours get on my nerves. And late night seems to bring out the crazier-than-me people. I haven't quite figured out the most hostile times, but weekend nights seem to have more rude answers and that sort of thing.
