That's actually a good question...this is how I see her: She has no problems with her self-esteem and that could be good for the girls who are little on the heavier side. She has impeccable taste in clothing and jewelry; however, she goes after Kermit like a dog in heat, which is NOT a good message for young girls. Then again, they are just puppets and hopefully people don't take them literally.

Hmmm!! I am just trying to think on what type of child, who would actually consider Miss Piggy as a role model. Miss Piggy would definitely be popular with children, but as a role model? No, I can't see it myself!

My daughter , who is now in her early thirties was a great Miss Piggy fan. She always said Miss Piggy was her role model.

She has turned into a hard working, independent, free thinking, highly educated woman.

Also married with a daughter. So judging by her I would have to say yes.

My kids grew up with Miss Piggy and the other muppets. My oldest is a pilot, my second is an assistant district attorney, my third is in the managers program at JCP, and my youngest is in radiology in college. Watching Miss Piggy didn't hurt them.

No. She is a wonderful, but ficticious character,
meant to be only entertaining. The children should
understand this as soon as they are able.

Role models should be adults, who also hopefully have some sort of interaction with the children you care about.
All the best,

I don't think kids look at her as a role model as such - most children are smart enough to understand a character that has been created purely for entertainment value and parody, even if they can't articulate it as such

No. In the aspect that if shows a cross dressing puppet (Male Hand up its rear) of quasi female gender role striking out at a man. Whereas in real life women who do that end up being hit back.
Also a fat tart looking for love. She's only aggressive because she can't get her own way.

She is a great role model for girls and a great lesson for little boys. She is proud of her womanly curves, comfortable with her sexuality and keeps her man in check. Go Girl!

Leave Miss Piggy alone, if she wasn't a pig I would marry her.

Not a good role model but a good depiction of what life is really like ,i.e. liking someone and them not liking you and chasing a frog hoping he will be your prince
