You probably don't have a USB or an Ethernet card. It seems like a waste to buy something for your old computer... like a USB or a PS2 card. The parallel (printer) port on your PS2 can hookup to the new computer and "bridge" from one to the other. They are made to use USB or parallel but the parallel takes much longer.
Of course, this costs about $40 but your would be okay to go for the NEXT computer as well. (whoops, found one on streetprices.com for $24.26) Other brands might be less.

Good luck. :)
