I had new passport 1st time when i am 15 yrs old.now i am Graduate student and i have to give my passport for renewal.As i know for renewal we have to submitt our last 1 yr residency record.i mean where were we in last 1 yr?(on the same add or at different?). now in my case since last 1 year i was on my own add which is in the passport for 6 months and other 6 months i was in bombay.i am from gujarat. and i have very shortage of time.i have to give exam in which passport is mendetory and also do hurry for visa.if i give my passport for renewal in month of oct 3rd 2006,how much time will it take for renewal? approximetly for how much period of time i must have to wait? any option for getting renewal passport early? please answer me plz.if i want to renew my passport in emergency than what reason i should give.what is the procedure?

U give valid & appropriate reason to renew ur passport as soon as possible.
b'coz u were in Guj. & then Mumbai
places & states are different so it takes time.
but just follow frequently
and pay more fees for emergency renewal
so u can get it....earlier.

Normally it takes minimum 4 to 5 months time if your application is in order. In case u want the passport quickly, u can apply under Tatkal scheme by paying higher fees.
