Putin was making a big deal out of the Israeli-Lebanon situation. The israelis were just defending themselves from the hezbollah terroist. Yet Russia condemns it. But the russians have no problem chasing arabs out of their citys. An article came out a few days ago about russians kicking out arabs from their towns, they have like a KKK-mentality.
Then the russians have no problems killign those chechen muslims, but when israelis kill islamic facist then its a whole nother story.

So shouldn't communist Russia just shut up and stop being so hypocritical?

Btw when Putin said "I don't want a democracy like the Iraq one".
I agree, in a democracy you need honest good people who care for the wellfare of the smaller people, putin doesn't shrae that vision. And in a democracy you need all sides to be represented and all views can be shared. So yeah, Putin doens't want a free nation.

Oh, no Putin isn't a communist.
But, it is not so black and white. I'd be first to condemn what Russia's policy of Russification- which is essentially robbing minorities of their cultures.

HOWEVER,I'd remind you that the Americans condone the killing of Chechen Muslims as a part of the War on Terror.

A long history that country called Russia and before USSR. And your own "beefed up" story seems even longer. The short answer is -- No, Russia can not be shut up. Not a country which represents millions and millions of people -- that would be undemocratic on the world stage. Besides, Russia has a veto power in the U.N. too. Back to your own feelings -- yes, public pressures, write-up, give and take, various political scenarios do make a difference in changing the mind and policies of the Russian bureaucracy -- so let's hope we can work it out this way....

America could use a democracy with "honest good people who care for the welfare of the smaller people" and "a democracy you need all sides to be represented and all views shared"
If you truly wish Russia to have the democracy you speak of isn't telling Russia to "Just shut up" the antithesis of your goal?

Hypocrites are everywhere.....
that is experience.
Politicians are hypocrite in most of the cases.
They are biased on one side....
By the way democracy has its own failures I think as surely not all sides are represented and not all sides have equal power......

They are just as loud about it as America is.

Should the Americans be the only ones to complain all the time?

What's wrong with competition?
