Usually common Betta's are very cheap. Ranging from $2.00 to $7.00, but they're are two very expensive breeds.
The Western Blue devil is around $600.00 and the Marine Betta is about $70.00.

For veil tails $2-3. For "crown tails" $3-5. Other types from breeders are $10-300. If you can find a local breeder you can find some amazing looking bettas for a song.

I just bought a CROWN Betta fish for $6.00. He is really pretty and i think you would like one. Then a normal Betta fish(less pretty) cost about $4.99. Just take your pick.

depend were you buy it from and what all comes with it it should be around3-5$ and i wouldn't get a fish from walmart though i did and it had a disease and killed like 15 of my fish a different pet store like petco or petland would be best(saltwater betas are alot more i stick with the freshwater)

The fish itself is often under $3.00 but everything you'll need to care for it ( food, medications, water treatment) can cost a bit more.

They can range from $2-6.00 in local pet shops or as high as several hundred depending on show quality (which you won't find in a pet shop).

Here in India, I bought one for 50 rupees.. thats about $1 in USA.
