- Open the document that you want to make into a PDF file.
- Then go to FILE and pick PRINT.
- Select the "Acrobat PDFwriter"
- Pick any special page formatting through Properties, such as "Paper Size", resolution and graphics compression
- Then click OK to continue printing.
- A dialog box comes up, asking where you want the file saved...
- Then it takes a few moments to Print your document to that PDF file.

Yes, we use it all the time. Just print the document that you want to be a PDF, but before hitting okay on the Printer Properties screen, select the PDFwritter for a printer. Then press okay and it will ask you for a file name to save the PDF.

adobe acroab full verion comes with 'distiller' which is the printing engine for pdf's - it should be installed as a 'printer' on a pc and you just choose it in your program as the printer you wish to use
