It's because people and the government can't get past thier stupid, anally-retentive, politically correct views. The reason for this is money. You have to be as PC as you can so that no-one sue's you into the ground. This means that you have to question everything that happens to make sure that you know exactly what's going on and pick holes in stuff until you just can't be wrong anymore.
Money. Money is the cause of all the aggro. Let's burn it all and become communists! However, now that I've said that the CIA are gonna hunt me down for being a communist terrorist massachist revivalist or something stupid like that.
Best course of action? Forget about it.
People are stupid.

I am an alien that crash landed on this depressing blob of a planet and my homeworld refuse to come and rescue me as the negativity is too imprenetable.
BTW you're right we have received your messages and that's why we're steering well clear. Although we did enjoy ' Man from Atlantis'

I say naughty boy you've said the most sensible thing today! Aren't we though subject to the media it is they who seem to think the population of the world is only interested in bad things. Why can't we all just get on with living, its difficult enough at the best of times!

Because the powerful have found that they can keep the educated masses distracted with divisive and petty little issues. Keep us focused on race, abortion, the Muslim menace and homosexuality and keep taxation and how that money is spent on the back-burner. Heaven forbid if the focus ever becomes the haves vs the have nots.

People love to hear about the pain of others. The media feed this and so... there you have it.
When we see how unhappy and unsatisfied others are, we can feel better about ourselves. Right?
Of course not. Lots of people are cynical by nature and they seem to get more air time.

That's the way it is the negative thoughts are more ideal to people who cherish them if you think positively and understand what is going on you will see a difference

I have lived on your world for some years now & can cheerfully confirm that you are all barking mad.
To be honest, I only came for the food.

How much more easy is it for anybody to be negative than to be positive?
Destruction is a simple task, construction is difficult - applies to just about everything I can think of.

It's just that truth precludes fanciful imaginative ideas that weak people use to make their lives bearable (like religion).
