as a former dancer/stripper i suggest a 4-5 inch heel with an ankle strap... ( i think it takes more work to keep the shoe on without the strap..feet slip to the side and can cause a fall on stage...seen it too many times)
anything higher can cause leg cramps while dancing.
i personally have never worked in a club where they allow you to be barefoot... that's usually a health issue....
white thigh highs are about the sexiest thing a dancer can wear in my opinion :) but hey most anything works as long as ya dance your azz off and make lots o' money!
