Maybe it`s got something to do with the fact that not only can Whoppi act, In 1983 she started at the bottom in the San Francisco bay area in a one-woman show called The Spook Show, during which she caught the eye of producer Mike Nichols, who went on to produce another one-woman show for her this time on Broadway, called simply Whoopi Goldberg which ran from October 24th 1984 - March 10th 1985, a total of 156 performances. Steven Spielberg saw her preforming, and was inspired to cast her in her first major film debut in the 1985 film The Colour Purple by Alice Walker. The rest is like they say History. Maybe you could enlighten me into what Mizz Ford has done, other than to have her body on show.

Well they`re all stereotyped aren`t they?Whoopi Goldberg is strong and funny.Perhaps for serious roles like 'The Color P urple' when she was s`pposed to be ugly it got the message across more,and I like Glenda Jackson, has she ever been a hot chick-No!! Anyway aren`t they all hot?-take Your pick!!

That's a really good question,especially when Whoppi admits to taking drugs,not the best role model for kids.

I really don't know. Whoopi is a phenomenal actress. Maybe it has more to do with the amount of talent and less to do with how "hot" they are.
