A friend of mine did some research in this area a few years ago for a report of some kind. I read French, so I gave her the following article from Le Monde that I thought useful; it concerns the kind of frustrations you are encountering, and how it impacts on parents.

You obviously have a pretty honest relationship with your parents. They know you are a grown man and need intimacy in your life. You've gotten a lot of advice on how to handle acquiring a toy. Now for the greater issue of a relationship. Take a look at what you are beyond the disability. Women like men who are comfortable with themselves, able to make decisions, who bring trust and respect to a relationship. Go online and talk to the girls, be honest about who you are. A lot of folks just can't handle anything beyond what they consider to be the norm, so you will encounter a million geeks. But there will be one who responds to your character. This is what makes a relationship. Your dating life will be no different from anyone else's in that dating is a learning process and you are still young. Take the good things from each relationship you have and aim to find a person with all of these qualities. Finding the right person can take a long time, depending on how well you know yourself. Forgive yourself your faults, build on your stregnths, and always know there is someone special out there who is looking for you.
