Not no, but HELL NO!! If and when a woman is elected president, it should be because she's qualified to handle the job. At the stage we're at now, we don't just need peace. We need someone willing to protect us from terrorists and our own borders. If our only choice is Hillary Clinton, this is proof that a woman shouldn't be in office right now. Look how many times she's changed her mind and how often she talks out of both sides of her mouth. We need stability, not female hormones sending us into a tail spin.

P.S. Just so you know, I'm a female and feel this way. When the right female candidate is presented, I'm sure I'll vote for her.

Some of the the time we must step backwards to let other go for peace sake, Yes I think we should have a Female president because, the world would slow down on their thinking about war, men are not suppose to fight with a woman don't care how they beat you up, that is the policy in the United States, So I don't understand how most people are giving against a woman leader, That mean you all don't like our ladies, Miss Rice is doing a good job, she is a woman, come on people wake up.

No, having a woman in charge would make things worse. We have a woman in charge here in washington, Gregiore or something, and her dog got ran over, and she made a HUGE deal about it, the funeral was on the news, and it wouldnt go away. It took almost 3 weeks before I stopped hearing about it. But, everything else is going to crap, roads, jobs, EVERYTHING, and shes worried about a funeral for her dog, as well as the dogs life. IT WAS A DOG! And think, if a woman became president, there would be no peace. I garuntee it. Though I believe things a little different then alot of people. I think, that regardless of who was in there now, we'd still be at war with Iran/afganastan/iraq/syria...and all the other non united states/EU. The same lies are going to be spewed regardless of whos in there, but if theres a woman in charge, there will be different lies. Like, Republican and democrats are the bought and paid for by the same elite scum running this country. But having a woman in charge...that only sets us up for even more problems....

We should not discriminate , everyone should have the chance to be president of the United States. Since we have given the last 6 years to a mental deficient why not try a woman next time? No one could do any worse than the present administration.

As if a female President wouldn't ever start a war. Look at females in the workplace...They constantly have to overachieve in order to get the same recognition as their male counterparts. I believe this would be the case with the first female president. Look at the person that is probably the only possible contender at this point...Hillary Clinton, do you think of her as being all frilly and pink? Heck, she is tough as nails and power hungry. I think your question is flawed.

Why do people always assume that having a female leader is autonomous with peace?

Never has there been a woman leader that was not involved with a war of some kind.......Catherine the great to include Indira Gandhi.

Ok. Female here. I think that the right female might do an ok job in the white house, however for some reason, and i know i will get flack for this, i think that its a mans job. I can not explain why i do feel this way. I think that while women can be tough and very smart, I think that i feel more "protected" by a man.

Do you really think a female President will hesitate to go to war if national security is threatened? If so, why would I vote for such a female if she dares to put our country at stake?

i think the issue is not whether the president is male or female but whether he or she is competent in running the job. just because the president is female, doesn't necessarily mean that things will be more peaceful than if the president is male.

btw have you ever heard of elizabeth bathory? (google her or search on wikipedia to find out)
