Not very likely. An average male lion outweighs you...and an adult might weigh 400 pounds...a cub that is 3 months will give you a hell of a battle. A full grown puma weighing about 90 pounds will give you more trouble than you would want...strangling any of them would be near impossible...been there and done that with pumas and various other smaller cats, leopard cats, margays, clouded leopards and there would be no way I would even approach a lion without a weapon or a tranquilizer gun.

I have never seen a man with bear hands. What are they like? Furry with claws?
As for killing a lion with his bare hands, yah, sure, first you tranquilize the lion, then you walk up and strangle it while its lying there helpless.
Otherwise you have to be Tarzan in a movie with a fake lion.

I have heard tales related by people that I knew who were from Africa, specificaly Kenya, of people who had managed to kill lions with no weapons. Of course these were already second hand accounts when they heard them, but the prevalence of such tales could indicate that at least at some point such events did take place.
I do think it could be done, under very extreme circumstances. I mean ther are documented cases of people under extreme stress exibiting unusual strength (mother's lifting car's off of trapped children, etc.) so...I think it is quite possible and has probably happened at least a few times over the years.

If you have bear hands you might just have a chance with the lion but I don't know any man with bear hands so very unlikely.

depends how young the lion is. If the lion is really young then yes but once a lion gets to adolences it will be pretty hard but maybe not impossible.

I don't think full grown men have bear hands. I think they have bare hands however.

It would be difficult, considering the weight difference and whether a man can get his hands around the neck to do so

Maybe, if he's a big man. But that lion is alot stronger and bigger than an average man.
