I'm male and have a good female friend. Who I want to shag. Is this a good idea as past experience tells me a good way to knacker a male/female friendship is to shag 'em. She knows I want to 'do the local thing' and laughs it off, sometimes we sleep in same bed and its getting more difficult not to fully try it on, (I half try it on regularly).

that's not a nice thing to say about your Friend. You know good friends are hard to find and if you did shag her then you may no longer be Friends at the end of it. I would think hard about this. Would you just want to shag her,,, or keep her as your best friend Think about it

When I was younger and single, one of my best buddies was a guy I practically grew up with, and we remained friends throughout all relationships, we would spend weekends with each other, and did not have a sexual relationship, but so much fun with each other, looking back now.....and my opinion for you, ask her, but only if you want to go forward in this relationship, I bet this girl has been waiting for you to make the first move, and be serious about it, she won't laugh then. Good Luck.

me and my friend of 5 years slept together recently. it didnt change things (apart from making things more intimate and having private jokes that no-one else gets!!) as we know each other so well and value our friendship. it wont happen again (mainly because im moving overseas) but we're going to stay in touch. so its up to you - and only u know what your friendship is like and what it can stand... is sex more important, if not, dont do it. if u feel the friendship can withstand it, go for it... but remember it might not turn out the way you were expecting.

Do it but don't expect her to agree if you ask directly.

Make it happen like it's a bit of an accident - then afterwards she can say "Oh, I just don't know what came over me" (no pun intended).

That way she doesn't have to bear any responsibility for whats happened - she was simply seduced and had no choice - which is exactly how she wants it!

I think as long as it's what you both want, go for it. You can still be best friends, you never know, it may change both of your lives for the better?

But if all you are after is sex and nothing else, then don't bother as it will wreck your friendship forever.

Talk sincerely with her and take a decision together. You will appreciate this later in your relationship - wether it's a friendship or friendship + shaggship :))

Who knows, maybe you will find out that you 2 love eachother

What do you value more - a one off shag or her friendship - and if you can have both, where's the dilemma?

If she gives you the right vibes why not ? If you think there potential in the relationship go for it ! because if your good friends and being with each other doesnt work out i dont see why u shouldnt still be friends ....just be honest with each other and dont do bad to each other you cant go wrong

She is obviously interested in you.
Woman are funny creatures, but believe me,
she is probably waiting for you to try something....
Go for it!!

Ps: remember that the best relationships are based on great friendships
