How can I get this cleaned?

Serious answer:

I am assuming it is red wine. You have about 20 hours before red wine "sticks." I am assuming you have already tried rinsing it in cold and warm water, with no luck. For safety sake, I am assuming you have already tried to wash it, too. If you have ran it through a dryer, the stain is set. But if you haven't...

You need to find something with "enzymes" to eat through the stain. Have any mild house cleaners? Those typically have enzymes. Baking soda is an enzyme, too. Try a baking soda paste worked into the stain with your fingers or a toothbrush. Sprite and seven up and other clear carbonated waters have enzymes in them, and will also fade the stain. You could also try toothpaste, but not a whitening kind (it may discolor the fabric.)

If all else fails, or to get it right the first time, go get a Tide stick. I swear to god it works charms.

And enjoy being a wine drinker, little spills and all. Try St Chapelle 'Soft Red' if you ever get a chance. Yum!

Hmm I hate to sound corny but the only solution I know is Amway products. I use them and they work.

1. Immediately dab a generous amount of concentrated LOC Multipurpose Cleaner on the wine stain. If this isn't available, try wiping it off with LOC Mini Wipes.
2. Soak the dress in SA8 TriZyme before washing.
3. Wash as per normal. High likelihood that the stain will be gone.

I once discovered blood stains on my white bed sheet that must've been there for more than 3 weeks. I did those three steps and when I took the sheet out of the machine the stain was gone completely.

Go to www.quixtar.com to purchase if you're in N. America, (speedy home delivery); otherwise email me and I'll find out for you.

If it's red wine I have heard putting white wine on it helps.

Soak the entire dress in the same color wine and learn to live with your dress in the new color.

try soda water if the stain is still fresh, do not wash with detergent it most likely will set the stain, bring it to a professional if the soda water won't work and the dress is worth the effort, otherwise, i heard that sunlight stain soap does a great job on tough stains. good luck

A response to your smoking Q...........

Smoking is indeed sinful activity because it violates 7 Biblical principles......

1. Chemical addiction - Smoking has chemicals in it that make it many more times addictive than heroine or cocaine. According to Jesus we cannot have anything else master over us but God. (Genesis 4:7, Matthew 6:24, Luke 16:13)

2. Bad for your health - If God created the human body which he called "good" (Genesis 1:31), why would you pollute it? If you got your kid a nice bike for his birthday, how would you feel if you later saw him leaving it lying around in the mud and rain and not taking care of it?

3. Setting a poor example for unbelievers - How can people glorify God by your example (Matthew 5:16, 1 Peter 2:12) when you are engaged in improper activity?

4. Setting a poor example for believers - How are we going to be mutually encouraged by each others faith if we are engaged in sin?! I am offended enough every time I smell someones 2nd hand smoke but to smell it coming from a believer?!?!?!?!!?

5. Setting a poor example for kids - But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. -Matthew 18:6

6. Using the resources God gave you for no good purpose - Smoking wastes money (Matthew 25:14), time, and your health. (things we can all use more of) Since God gave us resources, we need to use them to further the Kingdom, not live life the way we want.

7. Continuing in sin - Given the hundreds of times i have talked to smokers; deep down people know that it is wrong and is therefore SIN. If you continue to do that which you know is wrong you are allowing sin to rule your life.

Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me. -Psalm 199:133

For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace. -Romans 6:14
