Except for 80% of the kids I went to school with...they certainly were.

You know, I'm 32 and have been out of high school for 15 years and I still remember the pressure and how hard life could sometimes be back then. I had fun and will forever carry those memories with me, but I wouldn't want to be back there again. As a mom now, I can see how mean kids can be at even a young age. My son was bullied in Kindergarten two years ago by another Kindergartner, and who would have ever thought a five year old would be a bully?!
Yes, I think kids should enjoy their school days as much as possible because they are going to have to be out in the adult world soon enough, but think for me, life only got better after I got out of school and got older.

Agree. Not Because Of The Learning, But The Socializing, Friends, Being Carefree. Before Responsibilty Of Being An Adult!

The answer for each person asked this question will be different for each. Age may be relevant as an older person may look back with fondness to bygone days or a younger person in school may see school as a struggle. Others may have had good or bad experiences in school either with parents, life-styles, social status etc.
Whoever said school years are the best must of been old!
Time spent with loved ones is the best for me.
Good Luck with this question

for me my school years were an absolute nightmare. i struggled with work, had trouble fitting in with the crowd and got bullied. it didn't get to a stage where it was physical but i was picked on a lot and lot of it had to do with the colour of my skin sadly. and plus they took the piss out of my name constantly and i got threatened a few times. for instance, if i didn't do as they say they'd threaten to punch me or whatever. the pupils in my class back then were horrible but of course kids are like that at high school. its all different though at college and university because you're with a mixed bag of different races, nationalities and ages and students are generally a lot more tolerant and mature and wiser unlike the majority of school children.

and so my school years pretty much sucked. when it was over at 16 i said to myself: 'thank god that's over' and alas i moved on and performed better at college and university. i don't ever want to think about my school years, ever again after this.

Agree, so wish I had tried harder at school, it took me until I was 32 to get the qualifications I needed for a better job.

There's less pressure...you have more energy...life is more a day-to-day experience. On the other hand, you have so many restrictions.

I would say the best years are early twenties into early thirties, so I would disagree.

To me school years stunk!!! I was easily embarrassed, very insecure and people made fun of me and my sisters because we were poor and from the (wrong) side of the tracks! I even wanted to kill myself at one time, but I got through it, thank god and now I am happy and have lots of good friends! School years are now just a fading of bad memories!

Disagree

But it all depends on what your school life like. If you were bullied then it would be the worse years. If you were popular then the best years
