Honest politician? This is an oxymoron, a contradiction in terms.

Those two words can't be used in same sentence since they're a contradiction in terms just like military intelligence. All politicians are crooks, but not all crooks are politicians. To call a crook a politician is an insult.

I believe President Jimmy Carter was an honest politician,which is why he did not win re-election. He would not bow to the powerful lobbiest who always want to exchange favors for votes.

Yes I did, he was a repuglican and he was defeated in the primaries but a far right radical that will fall into lockstep with the president. Joe Swartz is his name and he lost to a Tim Walburg.
