While they are cute, I can see why you would like to get rid of the Chipmunks... This can be accomplished using traps, poisons or repelents. Oh and the Machine gun Idea isn't all that bad(for deer) but I have two things on that... First a real machine gun is illegal and may end up killing neighbor dogs or kids (In general BAD IDEA) Second they make motionsensor systems that you can attach to your sprinkler system these work great for deer but being that your problem is chips I suggest that you use a repelent. You can pick one up at Lowes or HD and apply using a broadcaster or Hose. However the big problem with repelents is that you have to reapply them at regular intervals. your other option is to plant things that chips don't like. You can usualy find a list of critter repelent plants in horticulture books... Good luck

Throw nuts and bird seed in the neighbors yard. Wallah, no more chipmunks in the garden......

I would be happy if Chipmunks decided to live in my garden. Let them stay there.

Attach a motion detector to a machine gun with a tracking device. Set it to fire at will.
Or
Stop going into you back yard and acting like a nut.

My only remedy that is working for me is C A T S. I now have three that are doing all the murdering for me and I don't buy much food for their tummies are full of chippys.... ha ha ha ha...

arnt they so cute. . . . . why would you want to get rid of them, feed them peanuts and they will take and carry them home.
