Holy wah. The things people do..... What a shame. Like you, I have to wonder if it was a drug thing or if the man just snapped. Whatever the scenario is the guy needs to be put away for a long time. Some place inside me I understand the thing between the adults, but that poor little girl. She did nothing.... I would be interested in finding out if this was drug related.

It could be a meth psychosis be could also be alcohol fueled as well. It also could mean he just went off the deep end. These has been cases of men returning from war doing the same sort of thing. Louisiana was devastated by Katrina and many people lost everything they had. New Orleans is largest financial center in the state. Money is the reason most marriages fail and everybody, in this country anyway, obsesses over it. Maybe he lost everything and became crazy over it.

What makes you think it was a SUBSTANCE? People go mad like that either because of a chemical imbalance in their brains (he may have NEEDED some medication), because of being pushed WAY too FAR, or because of spiritual posession. You can't blame EVERYTHING on drugs! The drug thing has been blown WAY out of proportion and used WAY too often as a defense.
