From what I read, there was such technology as early as the 70s. I don't know if they continued to develop it, but it supposedly existed back then. It should be much easier for them now with the advances in technology.

That would be hillarious! Imagine someone's dream being recorded on [DVD] and distributed to the public. Watch the unbelievable and how it ended in a crazy way. Like, for example, what they have recorded is actually some kind of a nightmare --
Watch the dreamer drowning in a swimming pool then suddenly a whale came out of nowhere to swollow him... then realizing for himself that the whale's belly is actually roomy, like a cave... and how come there's a sexy naked woman in there, too? LMAO!

What a great idea !!!!
But the poor movie theaters will lose nearly
all their customers. But I could watch my own
"twisted" dreams as cool as an action-movie.
Good idea !!!
But what would the CIA
(or the "Ruskies" or the
Arab terrorists ) do with that
"special video-recorder"?
There are too many
possibilities of abusing
this brain-machine !!!

Realistically that would be impossible but science is not static so I wouldn't rule out such an invention.
However, this can only become possible if the rate of truancy is lowered somehow and our students learn to appreciate science subjects.

I don't know if that will happen in our lifetimes, but I think it's a cool idea. I would love to be able to rewind and watch what I dreamt all night!

No. Dreams, and other forms of thought, do not possess spatial dimension and can therefore not be measured.
