It is possible , relations are relation , once spent nice time together can not be forgotten , though chances are less to meet again , but when ever meet again will be the great time , we can easily share our life progress and always seek suggestions with confidence .

From a guys point of view
Yes I think they can work, but the attraction, love and friendship needs to be strong, The friendship part is most important, including being an honest and compassionate person.
If you get along well with someone you can have great long distance friendships, Even if it is just close friends.
I know this works because I have a couple of girls as good friends from different countries on email, one girl i talk with every day and we discuss more intermit details, she says I'm her rock because she can talk to me about anything and everything and recieve quality answers and support. She gets alot more from me than from the people around her. The funny thing is I feel so close to her and know so much about her, but have never met her.
I have pics of her and she has pics of me so we can put a face to our names.
So if anyone is interested in a penpal, then click on my name and send me a message and lets start to build a friendship.

Yes its possible, but it takes a lot of dedication and patience. If you or your partner are lacking in either of these, you face a great challenge, especially if you don't get many chances to see each other and be with each other. Talk to a partner about this; its not something to be entered into lightly; it *can* work, but its much much tougher than a "normal" relationship.

Yes, and modern technology nowadays makes it much easier when you have to be apart from each other. Although nothing beats being with that person face to face, you can still see each other through webcams, and have live conversations on the net, for free :)

It's too hard. Ya, let's say you see him once a month on a weekend. But, what if, some tuesday night you want to see him so bad that you feel like dying. I mean, it starts to effect every part of your being. That is when it is not meant to be. Been there, dont it.

Yes , you can but the success rate is not very high,but if you are really committed and truly have that deep down "gut" love for each other you stand a great chance of it.

my ans would be possible.i've been in a relationship for 8mths and now i'm miles away from home to study.he still cares about me though.he promised to wait for me n i promised to come back to him.he believes in me as i believe in him.so i think as long as you trust each other distance is not a problem.in your heart you know he's always there
