I presume you are suing a c.r.t monitor, these are still good for playing games but they get vey hot, infact i used to put my socks on the back of mine so they were warm when i got out of the shower the c.r.t stands for cathode ray tube, and this is what makes these monitors get hot,and after a while the monitor will accumilate a lot of magnetism, and this is what makes your monitor go yellow, mine used to go pink,it varies what you can do to rectify this is look for a option on the monitors o.s.d (on-screen display) called "de-magnitize"when you find this just press select and the screen will shake as the monitor"demagnitizes" hence the name i normally had to do this about once a fortnight, but you can slow down the magnetism building up in your monitor by placing your p.c speakers and p.c tower as far from the monitor as possible i hope this helped good luck

Hi,

A CRT monitor displays three primary colors, red, green, and blue. With these 3 colors you can make 1068 other colors. Being that your monitor is red I'm guessing the blue electron gun is damaged in your monitor. That is the technical guess.

It may also be a bad cable connection or video card. I'm leaning more towards and bad cable connection or dieing monitor.

It could be that you've put something with a decent magnet in it close to the monitor, provided it's a CRT. Maybe new speakers or something with strong magnetic power. Remember to only use speakers designed for computer use! If it is because of a magnet, better start lookin for a new monitor. That also happens to TV's too!

More information please, we're not psychics here. Do you have an LCD or CRT monitor?
What video card do you have? Is the monitor cable loose or damaged? When did this start happening? Did the colour go like that when you started the computer or after you ran a Windows program?

I assumed you are using desktop, Check the pin out on the monitor cable, one pin might be bent, if that is the case, carefully straighten it and pulled it back to your PC. Hope that helps.

its due to some electro-magnetic effect. place all your electronic devices away from monitor even your wofer and ups to be away. avoid keeping cel phones near your monitor.

either your monitor is not plug in properly or your video card, or damage monitor.

Or most embrassement of all, you change the monitor settings?
