use a Mp3 compression software

if u downloaded songs from the net it can be that u may have downloaded video clips of the songs that way much more space is taken without you realising the reason,it happened to me,so just check that with help of a COMPUTER and further more sometimes the length of certain songs is way more than usual , but i still think that it could be the first problem.
