My periods have just started being irregular, since the beginning of August. My last normal period was from July 12-16. After that, I got it again on the 24th day of my cycle, unusally painful, for 4 days straight heavy (i'm usually 28 days exact) then again 18 days later, but for 9 days straight. I stopped taking my BC pills after 10 months fearing it might be messing it up, then I recently was told I have several ovarian cysts, which is probably the cause. It is now the 18th day since my last period, and I'm due, if my 28 days is correct, on Monday. Anyone have any advice at all? (There's a slight possibility I can be pregnant, but highly doubt it, as well. I took an early detection test which came back neg.)

Talk to your doctor about this condition.

It is common for Ovarian Cysts to cause periods to be irregular. They prescribe BC pills to regulate that.

i would get to the docs...i went thru similar things in my late teens and early 20s...they ended up removing my cysts and putting me on stronger birth control to stop the bleeding...my doc also suggested as i bled so heavily and was aenemic that if im not trying to conceive to take the pill 3/4 months straight without stopping for the sugar pills...it got my cylce back on track and worked for me for years.

periods that are irregular are symptoms that you will be having a difficulty of giving birth to a baby.
