You can read mangas for free from www.mangavolume.com.
I love this website because it is so easy to navigate and you need not to register or something to read mangas. The only (little. i mean very little) problem is that sometimes we don't know if the series of the manga is complete, dropped or still continued.
We can also download anime mangas from www.realitylapse.com

If you use an internet search for manga "scanlations" or "manga scans" along with a specific series, you can often find sites such as www.zomgfta.com (ZOMG Fruit Tree Alchemists) which are dedicated to scanning and translating a specific manga.
