its a very cheap usb camera, misplaced the installation cd, is it possile to use the barcode to search for the kind of product it is. if YES, how and how do i go about it

If you've got the cable, connect it to your 'puter and, if the OS is a later Windows, it should find the camera and you're in like Flynn. If you don't have the cable, detective work to locate a cable will need to be done.

Assuming you have the cable and are running a modern operating system, such as Windows XP, or a good operating system, such as OS X or Linux, you should be ok just plugging it in. The computer will recognise it and display it in My Computer (windows) or mount it (others).

The only exceptions would be if the manufacturer did something non-standard.

If you're using something old like Windows 98, then you're pretty much screwed.

If you have the cables and windows xp your all set should be seen as a drive
