Absolutely ! Excellent question you have posed. I would totally give the money away to help other people. This money could be used to stimulate the economy by helping others open up small business or do other great things. In turn the 1 billion you would give away would be worth 10 times as much because people would remember who helped them out when they needed help and how their live had change. In life you have to give in order to get and there is no better way then bettering "man kind".

That means you would give away $10 billion!!!!! That's just not done. Wealthy people don't become that way by giving away $10 billion. You're better of donating the money to a charity or to a school or to scholarships for future college students. If I were than wealthy, I would provide free training for skilled positions & pay for their bills while they're training. Something like that. It is better to teach someone to make $$$ than to just give it away.

You obviously havn't heard that Sir Richard Branson has pledged to give...billions of dollars over the next ten years for all of us..He has pledged all his profits to go to reducing global warming, of which we and our descendants will benefit from...so, not all in this world only think of themselves...(if we all got $10,000 each you can bet it wouldnt be spent on such a good cause)....sad, but true...

I'd give a large amount of money to all the people who were made homeless because of Hurricane Katrina, and then the rest to charity.

No, it would be rewarding to give someone a job that can earn $10,000 dollars in lets say one month. If you give it away to someone they will blow it. If you make them earn it they will save it or spend it wisely.

It would be better to build a university and give them a free education and when they had a good job they could give back $10,000. so that they could pay it forward.
