Yuck, yuck, yuck. What else is lurking in that fridge? Any other kinds of spreads? I would think that catsup would be better than lard.....although when my mother was pregnant with me she said her cravings were for lard and onion sandwiches. ( I still say yuck.....)

No, lard will not work. That will taste terrible. If you have any kind of jam, peanut butter, or cream cheese, that would be much better. Also, toast is not bad when dipped into coffee if you have that around. Those will be your best options.

if you are that hungry and you have non of the above just eat it . Pretend you are eating coutons or better yet have some soup for breakfast or grilled cheese. Be creative but stay away from the lard.

Lard is pig fat. It is used to cook. Kind of like Crisco. I wouldn't imagine anyone eating in on toast. Use mayonnaise or Tarter sauce if you are that desperate. It will taste better.

Peanut butter or jelly would work. I actually just like frying an egg and putting on top of hte toast and eating it that way.

Lard is only good for two things: refried beans and flaky pie crust.

Lard will be disgusting!

Try it with jam, marmalade, marmite, Bovril or whatever - no butter.

It is now 2 days later, have you decided that it is ok to eat your toast(that was a really hard job, making toast) without anything on it? Or have you died yet?
