I really do think that the soundtrack to Garden State is the greatest compilation of songs I've ever heard -- it changed my life.
Other highly recommended albums for the title of 'greatest album of all time' include: Jump Back: The Best of the Rolling Stones 1971-1993 (Rolling Stones); Oh Inverted World (The Shins); Warmer Corners (The Lucksmiths); MTV Unplugged 2.0 (Lauryn Hill); Nirvana (Nirvana); and Our Endless Numbered Days (Iron & Wine).
I honestly do think these albums will change your life -- so that's why i'ld call them some of the greatest of all time.
