I was going to study bioloyg but was told it was TOO hard. So I never took it. Study 6 hours outside of college for each subject each week. It sounds alot but the college recommends 12 hours on each subject a week.

The key to passing biology or any other subject is hard work I'm afraid!
For every hour you spend in class, you must spend at least an hour at home reading over the work you covered. The best way to do that is to use a question and answers book, past papers or reading specifically to gain UNDERSTANDING - memorising it word for word is no use, except in the different metabolism cycles, although even here when you appreciate that you are losing carbons, you can see a pattern; and that the enzymes are appropriately named, eg hexokinase tells you it is phosphorylating a 6C sugar which will then become an ion, and cannot escape the cell and will be used to catalyse the next reaction. Simple.
You read the introduction to the chapter to get the gist of it. Quickly read over the chapter, stopping when you see something you dont understand. Spend 10 minutes learning about it, and start again. As you read, continually ask yourself (eyes off the book!) how does that work; where does it fit in; structure v function; do i remember that etc. This beds it down in your long term memory. It is ACTIVELY & IMAGINATIVELY "memorising".
Draw out the diagrams and put them up in your room - they will almost unconsciously be assimilated into your long term memory.
What ever you do, whether reading or rewriting, the key is one hour per class hour. You will get an A.

1) Take good notes.
2) Pay attention in class.
3) Study by reading your notes and the book.
4) Rewriting your notes, although time consuming, can be incredibly effective. THis means rewriting your notes so they are legible, finding things that you don't understand and looking them up in your book (or asking your teacher) and adding these clarifications to your notes.
5) The most effective method I've seen is to read the book before class, go to class and take notes, then reread the book and your notes. Although the most effective, very few people are willing to put in this kind of time.
6) Make sure you take 5min breaks in your study times so you can keep fresh and refocus.
7) Some things must simply be memorized, but in other cases if you really understand the underlying concepts you do not need to memorize everything.
8) Many teachers will ask two kinds of questions: Those to see if you understood and learned the material and those to see if you can take what you have learned and make new connections not explicitly discussed in class. If you think about the second type, you will be ahead of the game.
Should work!
:)

The most important bit is to write really good notes and keep them well organised. There is a lot of information you have to learn for Biology it is important that you can find the information in your notes whenever you need it.
Whenever something comes up in class look back at your old notes about it when as you write up your new notes, that will help you understand and connect the two.
The other thing is to test yourself on things as you go through, try out some questions in your textbook on a topic you did a while ago. Answer all the questions you can without looking and then look at your notes to fill in the questions that you can't and reread those sections carefully.

I had a 4.0 and took Collage boi in high school. The tirk is to take lots of notes. Hang on ever single word your teacher says and if you dont get it ask question after question until you do. Do your homework, maybe have a work group with others that want to pass. And study, study study!
Its really easyer then it sounds.
