Do you really care about the opinions of those who call you this? Do you feel that the insult demeans you more than the person who says it? Do you think that reacting to the insult would change the reason that it was said? I personally don't see the point in getting offended.

If it's a person of color and that person is with a group of the same it's probably to be taken offensively. If you called a ***** blackie, it would be about the same thing.
