My friends think I'm a little weird because I talk about fish so much and they like dogs and cats...
I just LOOOOOOOVE my fish.
Especially my bettas.
Is this weird or not?

You must be a very patient person. I've had many different species over the years that brought calming joy for me, but unlike you I had not the patience for cleaning the aquariums. My frustration for the cleaning made me forget the joy they brought me. Gave up, but still appreciate fish lovers, my beta's and angel fish especially I liked, they showed such personality. Learn about your friends dogs and cats and they will learn about your fish. Wonderful conversations always.

Nope it is perfectly normal for you to love your fish. Fish are better than some dogs and cats, don't get me wrong i have 3 cats and 2 dogs. But they are not as attention high as mamals. And they are pretty to watch swim around.

I eat BBQ fish at least 3 times a week

No it is not weird. I talk to my goldfish all the time. However be prepared for a short relationship in many cases.

I love it panfried with a squeeze of lemon. Eating dogs and cats is weird.
