If you want a loyal friend, I'd say a dog, but I feel that unless someone is at home most of the day it is unfair to the dog. They need to be taken out regularly and not be expected to hold their business all day. Cats will jump up to sit next to you or come get in bed with you, but don't expect them to meet you at the door when you come home the way a dog will.

Cats! They may be all attitude and stuff, but that's adorable in a fun way. Cats are softer, easier to carry... my cat's name is Maui :) Anyway all the best is getting yourself a pet - love it more than you love yourself.
Else, a beagle would do. You won't need to have too much expectations as they ain't that bright.

They are all good. I have 4 cats, 2 ferrets, a hamster, and a guinea pig. The best one is probably a cat. I love their loving purr.

Horses, if you have enough time to go to a barn, also, they are very expensive to keep. Dogs are fun to have around, cats are less needy though. I also have goats which are a LOT of fun to work with.

HORSES ROCK!!! I've got 8 of them, I should know! They're versatile and loving, intelligent and strong. It's amazing to just gallop through fields and jump over things.
