Being the curious sort, I looked it up in the dictionary and found no entry. Have you spelled it correctly? It is possible that it is a relatively new scientific term of some sort that was not in this 2 year old dictionary, or it could be a coinage.

zerophytes, also and more commonly spelt xerophytes (note spellings) are plants like cacti requiring very little water to survive

i think u meant xerophytes they are desert plants. they have like really waxy cuticles and stuff to conserve water. there stomata is only open during night
