⺠SPACE: If you want to learn about space, I think seeing is believing. The Hubble telescope is probably the clearest and the strongest telescope ever. So take a look at these beautiful pictures and its really worth a thousand words. You can look at planets, galaxies, nebulae and more. (you could always search more on a specific topic such as what a nebula is to learn more about it).

⺠UNIVERSE: Understanding the universe as a whole is another story. Out of the universe we know for sure that is out there, the amount we can actually observe is so limited. There is also the part beyond that we don't even know about. There have been and will continue to be so many complicated theories and theory makers but I think one person who tried to make sense of it all for the rest of us is Professor Stephen W. Hawking. His site is here: (I strongly recommend his books as well though personally I don't agree with everything)

âºThen there are general sites you can fish out things about specific topics:

Two great sites to start with are www.space.com, and www.sdss.org. The second one is the official site of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey.

en.wikipedia.org is the best learning site for ANYTHING as long as you are prepared to read heaps and go through heaps of links and get sidetraked over and over again.
