is limewire safe for downloads? no virus?

i wish people would start using the discovered part of Yahoo answers this question has been asked so many times it's getting very boring but nonetheless the answer is limewire.

Good luck. There is no such thing as free song downloads that I have found. I have searched the Internet for hours at a time with no luck. I tried Limewire and other sites like Limewire and had to fight tracking cookies, and adware for two days before I finally got rid of them. I finally ran my Virus protector twice, (http://avast.com) and Lavasoft SE Personal Edition twice on my computer to clean out all the junk. If you find a free site please let me know.

limewire is great got over 4,000 songs in a couple of weeks takes seconds to download

Heya. Limewire is cool and has no spyware or adware. But, if you want a website to download from rather thn having to install a program, http://www.mpeg-search.com has loads and easy to use.

limewire. im told its free and safe and ya seem to be able to get pretty much anything. there is a subscription service but im told you dont need to use it the simple version is good enough. for referance only though i hope!!!
