Your Question can be interpretted in two different ways, one Indian Team has potential or India has potential.

If we consider Indian Team has potential but not utilising, what I would like to say is that the potential of players are not turned into perfformance. Various reasons can be attributed to this . Firstly some of the players become complacent with one or two good performance when they are taken by the fans and media to shy heights and the players become over confident and take their place in the team as granted. In order to perform better each player should approach each game as a fresh game and forget about what they have achieved in the past and think about how much better they can perform in the current game. They should play according to demand of situation with proper dedication, sedlf-restraint and application. Once they do this, they will be in a position to perform to their potential.

Referring to the second interpretation, players with lot of talents are available in the country, butr they are either not unearthed or given sufficient opportunities to represent the country. During the matches of less. For besgt utilisation of available p;otential, talented boys from school and college level shouldbe picked up and groomed. We should then have a pool of such talented players and they should be given opportunities to play in the matches of less significant to test their talent. By doing such an exercise in the period of time, we can build a good bench stgrength and a time will come that plahyers have to fight each other by performance to find a place in the Indian team and no one can take his place in the side as grangted.
