Kids of all ages can participate. 2 is a bit young to go door to door at strangers houses. I would probably just have a little party with other kids your childs age and all dress up or just trick or treat to family and friends, people that you know and would give appropriate treats.

i think that its ok but i also think that you should take some other kids that are a bit older with them. i know it might seema bit weird to take a small child to other people houses and ask for candy because you're worried that they might go and do it some other time when you're not there to protect them. if you take other kids that are a bit older, they wont be as tempted to go to houses on their own because they are without their 'security net'. other than that, you should explain to the child that not all strangers are as nice as the ones that they will meet and not to talk to strangers. once they are aware of all of this, there is no reason that they cant have a good time! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

trick or treating is a load of rubbish its an commercialised gimmick.taking your 2 yr old out trick or treating are you for real?
you should stay at home and do activities inside; instead of rudely knocking on peoples door, which i could never do.
you don't know who could be lurking behind someones house doors.the best thing to do is stay at home watch films

Yes it is ok as long as you can show him its only about fun and laughter and make the custome fun not demented.......Make it family fun or throw a halloween party instead where all the kids dress up and get bags of candy when they come in, better idea..

It is fun, and they do cool costumes now for little kids. Just be careful of the sweets they are given as most sweets are not suitable for a two year old

As long as your 2 year old shares the candy with you!

I guess there's no harm in dressing him up and taking him with his big brothers and sisters, but he probably won't be keen on doing a party piece.

Depending on where you live, I would think it would be too cold to take a bambino out at night that time of year...

Yes, but I would limit it to a couple dozen houses of people that you know.
