If either of the two elder Blair sons were in the Military, would Tony Blair have a different attitude to sending, keeping and with-drawing our troops from Iraq & Afghanistan?

I'm getting to the place where I cant hardly answer questions any more. But I stopped on this one because it is an excellent question.
NO,he would not.
If he did because of political pressure,he would make sure they were not in a dangerous place.
If men like Bush had sons & daughters that would be on these front lines of battle. They would not dabble in wars that dont need to be fought.
Our counties were not in danger. If our countries were in danger,we could and should handle it with fierce determanation to save our soil.
It seems to me that battles we fight are suppose to be kind, dont hurt nodody, make sure nobody gets killed.
What is WAR?
I would be glad to give up my life to protect my home land, the lives of my 3 sons,if I was in my own front yard fighting.
I ramble in my writings due to a brain injury, sorry.

No, he wouldn't. There was already a campaign about this, asking Tony Blair that, if he believed in the war he promoted was 'necessary', would he send his sons? Didn't get very far.

It's a very different story when you're making decisions on people's lives you don't know, but your own flesh and blood? He's an idiot, that's all you need to know.

No he wouldn't send them and neither of the princes will be going either but i bet you any money in 10 years time they will both have a full set of military medals just like some of their relations, which they earned by doing f**k all.

I asked a very similar question the other day, and i think you are 100% right although from some of the people who answered my question didn't seem to think so, i think if he had to send his son's he would soon be getting our boys back.

Why not? I understand on the news the Queen is letting her grandson, the future King of England go. She let her middle son fight in the Falklands war and she let Charles make an honest woman out of Camilla.

Politicians sons and daughters are never sent into combat, they may be in the service one time or another(for publicity) but are never sent to the frontlines. If they were in harms way you bet they would think twice about sacrificing them for the benefit of financial gains.

Only for a holiday after the trouble has died down..so that will be `never` then.
The armed forces are the fighting tool of government, do you really think they want to get shot just to help daddies career ?

No because Politicians send others sons for killing and to be killed. And reserved their son for Elections.

If my Dad tried to send me I'd tell Mom & then I'd nip next door & tell that farty Scot Gordon Brown. He's going to kick Dad out soon so I'll move in with him & his missis. That will get me out of it. My brother can make his own arrangements.
