So far as I am aware, there is no definitive way of determining anything about the mental functioning of a developing fetus- beyond determining that there is a developing brain. The human brain is immature at birth, and will take nearly two decades to completely mature to an adult functioning ability. Although genetic testing can reveal disorders which may limit future intellectual ability, none of them can predict the level of that limitation with any degree of reliability. On the other hand, mental deficiency is also present in persons with apparently normal genetics. So no, there is no reliable way to check the "mental growth".

i do not think it is possible except for the checking of down-syndrome. however, like many parents have tried, one can try to "teach" the fetus in the early part where the fetus has the ability to acquire more knowledge.
